*** Usage Instructions ***
- Launch the timer by opening the app.
- To start the timer, simply tap the screen; the countdown will commence.
- To stop or pause the timer, tap the screen again, which will halt the countdown and resume from the same point upon restarting. Pressing the "cancel" button will immediately terminate the countdown, preventing any subsequent resumption. The "pause" button halts the timer without resetting the elapsed time, allowing for continued timing from the paused moment when "resume" is pressed.

- Tap the [Settings] button to access and modify application preferences within the settings screen.
